IJMO is an international mathematics competition which is held annually in different countries across Asia. This year Thailand welcomed the little geniuses with the competition held in Bangkok and other events in Pattaya.
Hosting an International Academic Competition
The International Junior Mathematics Olympiad brings together some of the brightest young minds from across Asia for a rigorous mathematics competition. The 2018 edition, held in Thailand, combined the competition itself with educational activities, cultural excursions, and an awards ceremony. Niramit Creations managed the event logistics across two cities — Bangkok for the main competition and Pattaya for social activities and excursions — ensuring smooth transitions and a safe, well-organised experience for hundreds of young participants and their chaperones.
Event Management for Educational and Academic Events
Academic events involving young participants require an elevated level of care and coordination. Safety protocols, age-appropriate activities, parent and chaperone communications, and institutional coordination all add complexity beyond standard corporate events. Niramit Creations has the experience and processes to manage these requirements professionally, having worked with educational institutions, international foundations, and government organisations on events across Thailand.
Multi-City Event Coordination
Events that span multiple locations in Thailand — such as Bangkok and Pattaya, or Bangkok and Phuket — require careful transport logistics, accommodation management, and activity sequencing. Niramit Creations coordinates multi-city event programmes regularly, managing coach transfers, hotel check-ins, activity scheduling, and contingency planning to ensure groups move safely and on time between destinations.
The 2nd International Junior Mathematics Olympiad (IJMO) in 2018 brought together 660 students from 16 nations in Bangkok and Pattaya, Thailand between July 27 and 31. The Pan Asia International School in Bangkok hosted the IJMO competition on July 27, 2018.
